If you're running 1.9 (or otherwise can't find the stronghold) I've made a savefile of this map. You'll start directly in front of the stronghold. This should work with 1.8 and 1.9. :)
(in v1.8.1) npc village at x:-480 z:300 cool hollowed cliff formation: x:-450 z:-160 handful of pumpkins at: x:-310 z:115 found a spiral staircase from ground level into the stronghold too, but got killed by two zombies as soon as I stopped to look at the coords
I just used the seed, and I've found that the Stronghold is NOT directly at the coordinates. It's actually a little bit away from them, starting at x:-418 and z:-517.
on my new computer, every time I click f3 for coordinates it instead brings up this screen showing me all the other pages I currently have open on my computer... Any help please?
You need to press the Fn key and F3 at the same time to bring up your coordinates menu/debug screen. I hope this helps your problems. Turn off your coordinates menu by pressing the same buttons you would use to turn on your coordinate menu. :)
And I AM STUPID °^ But, please (for those who cant read): WHEN THERE IS A SEED WITHOUT ANY NUMBERS, YOU SHOULD SCROLL 11 DOWN AND READ THE SEED! THIS IS NOT SO DIFFICULT!!! >=( (stupid)
To bring up your coords menu, click the Fn key (Function key) and the F3 key at the same time to bring the coords menu up. It shows you ALL the coords on the left side of the screen with your coords menu on. Turn it off using the same way if you were to turn on your coords menu. Hope this helped. :)
@ Dharmesh: Y coordinates are just how high you are. If the location is referring to something on the surface, there is obviously no need for a y coordinate, since you won't have to do any digging or building to get to it.
Pity, it seems this is a 1.8 seed, and not a 1.9 Prerelease 3 seed.
ReplyDeleteIt'd help if you guys could make a note of that somewhere in the post, that way those of us who are keeping up to date with the releases will know.
I CANT GET IT I KEEP TYPING OVER AND OVER AGAIN I CANT GET IT!!!!!!

ReplyDeleteIn 1.9 there are actually 2 libraries and a Portal Chamber down around
X-400
Z 700
This seed is really cool in 1.9 also, lots of lava near the surface.
More specifically:
ReplyDeleteGo to
X -410
Z 710
Dig straight down until you reach a lit chamber. It is a big chamber that is in the center of the two libraries and the portal room.
