[This seed is for Minecraft 1.0]

This seed will spawn you right inside an NPC house with a villager. Next to the village there are some amazing mountains and a large swamp biome.

    There are two more nearby villages on the map -- at -420, +187
    and at +372, +532

    At 254, 33, 113 there is a canyon with a waterfall further down leading to near-bedrock

    I havent found ANY diamonds in this world...ive been playing on it for a week and have gone mining about twice everyday...anyone have any coordinates?

    I used this for a semi-roleplaying experience. I built a house that matched the village style. Just finished a fence around the entire village to prevent villagers from wandering off. Right behind your spawn house is a hole that leads you almost (you can hear zombies on the other side of the wall) all the way into a huge abandoned mineshaft system (on the other side is a cave system that I haven't finished exploring as well.
    Nate_1996 I have yet to find any visible diamonds in any cave systems as well, but I did find a few so this isn't like reverse easter egg seed with no diamonds at all.

    if your facing the lava bench turn 180deg walk to the gravel path, turn right and head to the water. Then you can dig down to x=101, z=332 and depth y=6 then you will find 6 diamond's all together!!!
    I lucked out as this was the first place i tried!
    so if you were lost then these co-ords will find ur way home also!!! ENJOY!!

    @Fredrik Wigren There's clumps of 8 gold in a cube shape at the following:
    X=147 Y=23 Z=295
    X=125 Y=12 Z=309
    X=154 Y=20 Z=280
    Also, if you approach these from directly above, you don't need to worry about hitting caverns! :D

    There's an Abandonded Mine near the spawn. I don't have the coordinates right now, but it is down cave system opposite the swamp, about the same distance away from the village as the swamp is. I followed it along and found 4 chests. They had a total of 10 diamonds and 15 gold, and also melon and pumpkin seeds.
