Minecraft 1.0 has officially been launched by Notch and the Mojang Team at Minecon! We will soon start posting the very best seeds for Minecraft 1.0 as many seeds for older versions will longer work due to changes in the world generation algorithm.

ReplyDeleteThis seed seems to spawn on top of a tree (I've tested it twice), with plentiful trees nearby for easy and immediately accessible crafting. There's a cave at x 161 z 231 with a good amount of stone and coal, a large lake where I've seen a dozen squid spawn at a time at x 200 z 306, and at x 162 z 328 there's a 1 x 1 hole leading down to a plentiful harvest of iron.

ReplyDeleteYes, as you can see this seed is Skyrim themed, named after the main character of the game. This seed spawns you in a small patch of forest. The best and main part of the seed is that it spawns you next to a DOUBLE or what even seems to be TRIPLE mob village! It's great and filled with tons of resources: all the free wheat, free housing, nearby lake, your in a desert area, spawn in a forest also, and other things I haven't yet explored.
How is it named after the main character in Skyrim when you can name them whatever you want. "Dhoulmegus" (without quotes) will spawn you at an intersecting forest and snow biome. Following to tree line will either bring you to a small desert next to a plain biomes and some mountains with a poorly spawned village near them, or a large desert that is next to the same plain biome (all of this surrounds the snow biome near the spawn). Sorry for lengthy post.

ReplyDeleteThis seed spawns you in a hilly environment with regular and Birch trees in abundance. There are multiple lakes in the area, and both s swamp and desert nearby. But the best part? Wolves. Literally everywhere. I've come across approximately 30 wolves nearby. The only downside is that other friendly mobs (pigs, sheep etc.) don't seem to be spawning much, but if you're looking for wolves then this is definitely the seed for you.

What version is this for? 'Cause I tried it and it didn't work. I spawned in a forest beside a snow biome. I explored the snow biome to see if I could find the desert and look between them, right? There was a meadow, I looked EVERYWHERE! Nothing. I bet it was an awesome seed once. I'm sad that it doesn't work anymore. REPLY PLZ!!

interesting features:
Close to your starting point (turn around until you see the yellow flowers on your island. go there and continue until you swim to an island with sugar cane. when you continue you should see lava glowing in a gorge underwater) there is an underwater Abyss (x=-380; y=60; z=600). Swim down, there is lava for lighting, gold and diamond in the open and an abandoned mineshaft to be found.
I never tried to survive on this seed, just explore the underwater dungeon without items.

The seed "gimmeabreak", no caps, no spaces, spawns you inside an NPC village. No traveling, no searching. You actually spawn inside one of the buildings.

ReplyDeleteI REALLY FOUND THIS SEED BY MYSELF. I'm not reposting a really common and known seed like the idiot above. I was experimenting. Anyways it spawns you in an island in the middle of an endless ocean biome. No trees so it's technically impossible to survive here. Lots of sugar cane; lots of ore and materials in underground caves.

A huge (and tricky(ive got lost about 20 times)) mountain/mine system, a lot of iron an coal, a desert with a NPC Village.. as far as i have seen this map is this the most awesome map ive ever had! Whatch out for the dungeon's in the mine system!
But the best of this map is the beautiful moutains! EPIC!!
I have another username seed. I saw the one above, tried mine, and TheJonyMyster2 gives you alot of trees. there's even one decomposing! also, to your right there is some mountenez haw im no proper gramer.there's some sand on top of the nearest mountain. good amounts of water, and not sure about cave systems or whatev.

You spawn in the taiga and once the world renders you should be able to see a big mountain somewhere around you. Go towards it to get to the mountain range.

ReplyDeletethats PI to 29 places spans you on the side of a small mountain with a single large tree on top, go slightly south over it to find a massive complex of shallow ravines all connected underground leading to a huge open ravine that almost reaches the bedrock, the large ravine contains a have floating abandoned mine that stretches deep along the walls , there is also an open lava pit on the surface nearby, best to climb to the top of the spawn mountain and just look out across the plain, definitely an epic map that requires more exploration

ReplyDeleteStumbled upon this EPIC seed thru mispelling the skyrim themed one (Dovahkiin). Spawns you in the middle of a forest with tall trees, next to a few wolves. Turn to the left until you see an AHMAZING mountain range that you have to see to believe. Havent explored yet but it is super cool.
Just explored some of it and i'm not sure which is more amazing, the endless range of mountains to the left of spawn, or the vast snowy environment with scattered lava pits to the right of spawn (with some walking). Definitely a masterpiece seed. You'd be crazy not to try it out. Loads of resourced in the mountains and plenty of pigs and cows. p.s. sorry for the double post

I found a seed called Boulderdash. Head northeast from the exact view when you start for a small NPC town with lots of livestock and pumpkins. Also has lava nearby.

Fantastic seed. Spawn on small island near lots of other little islands. On the island you spawn on, there's a small cave and a big cave FULL of coal. I found 54 coal and 10 iron ore on the first day. On the next island there's a village full of loads of supplies. I'd highly recommend this seed.

A survivalist one I found was 'abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz'. It puts you on decent sized flat island, with only one tree. It also has a pretty deep trench right in the middle of the island.

You spawn in a forest but if you walk out you are in a huge flat land with swamp in sight, then to the right of that is a mountain range, with desert to the left of the swamp. There is even an NPC village in the flat land and a decent sized cave in the ground near the NPC village!

ReplyDeleteWe're running it on the Random Minecraft Server survival server, and the map tends to spawn unusually large amounts of hostile mobs, even Endermen! There's not a lot of coal near the spawn, so you'll have to move around a bit before building a shelter.
D-Day (as is typed) spawns you near a nice sized cave and on the same island there is a Npc village the only problem is that there seems to a lack of cows...

ReplyDeleteIt spawns you in a small forest with big trees an near a small mountain and somewhat flat grassland. Right next to your spawn there should be chickens, and in the grassland there is lots of cows. The mountain has lava inside of it, and if you continue South from the mountain, you should hit a larger mountain range.

Spawns you near a forsety swampy area with lots of caves and ravines, go to a desert and carry on and you will find a quite large NPC village next to a lava fountin!!!
(This takes alot of travelling however).

ReplyDeleteThis seed starts you in a HUGE snow biome very few trees and not any above ground lava very close. A few things that I did find were
at (x=12, y=64, z=67) dig straight down and this will put you at the end of a ravine with a TON of gold, iron, and other ores.
on surface at (x=182, y= -709) there is a desert that does have some lava pools in it
if you run around you might find some sheep but there are cows and pigs close around where you spawn.
No known villages or anything that I found so far. GOOD LUCK!!!! HAVE FUN!!!!

ReplyDeleteThis seed spawns you right next to a small surface cavern with a zombie spawner and a couple of chests. (It is directly to your right when you load in.) Inside the first chest is: 1 bucket, 2 saddles, 3 strings, 3 iron ingots, and 1 wheat. Inside the second chest is: 4 wheat, 1 bucket, 1 saddle, 1 cocoa beans, 1 bread, and a music disc (C418 - cat). There is also a nice iron ore deposit inside the cave. The best thing about this cave is that it makes a perfect temporary home! (Provided you place a few torches...) There are tons of cows and chickens right at the spawn area, but no sheep. If you want sheep, go to: X 449, Y 71, Z -362. There are about 6 or 7 sheep there. This is probably my favorite seed because of all the goodies near the spawn area. Also: if you mine abit around the spawn area, you'll eventually find a GIANT cavern that goes all the way down to the diamond layer. I've only found one diamond so far, but it was completely exposed and I didn't have to dig to get to it. If you go down far enough, there is a MASSIVE amount of obsidian (covering an area about 20x20 tiles wide!) Co ords for this obsidian field are: X 339.21, Y 21.87, Z -316.89 (It is VERY important that you type these EXACT co ords if you plan to use SPC Commands to teleport there. There is a LOT of lava nearby!)
I found a cavern with lots of resources at: X 507.25, Y 64.62, Z -444.65
Inside is also a zombie spawner and a chest with 1 gunpowder, 1 iron ingot, 1 wheat, 1 saddle, 1 cocoa beans, 2 string and 4 redstone! At the very bottom of this cavern I found a lot of obsidian (nearly as much as the above mentioned obsidian field)!

ReplyDeleteit needs to be exactly that. spawns you inside a massive field of trees. not entirely sure on directions but it is a very islandy map. I haven't got a compass yet so all I can otherwise tell you is that in one direction there is an island near literally surrounded by 2 dry 50ish block deep mineshafts that is nearly useless for ores. in the exact opposite direction there's a small island just out of view about a good 3 minute swim away that sits right next to a grotto. In any case, turn 90 degrees right from there to land on a desert mainland with a hole early on a good 5*10 wide at least that goes down a ways into a massive cave system, underneath the deepest part of which is an even bigger cave system. I really need a compass but have fun.

ReplyDeleteSpawns you in a very nice Snow Biome with lots of trees, sheep and cows all nearby. Directly to your left when you spawn less than 10 blocks away is a cavern with loads of coal and iron as well as a little waterfall fountain coming out of the wall. This has everything you need!

ReplyDeleteSpawns you on a small island near a bunch of small islands. Nearby is an elaborate cave system with TONS of coal, iron ore, redstone, and even plenty of Lapis Lazuli and a few diamonds. Teleporting to the Nether reveals a Nether fortress not very far away from the spawning poing as well. This is a wonderful seed.
Try 'I'mSexyAndIKnowIt' for epic amounts of wood and try 'no cheats' for amazing hills and loads of pigs

It goes deep down and you will find coal, iron, redstone, lapiz lazuli, gold, and diamonds. Use creative mode first to explore the cave well. I tried it 3 times already and it works. Enjoy!
