Whoopsies. I had to revert back to 1.1 anyway so I checked it out and this seed is incredible! I'm gonna make some kind of enchanted magical night world.
I made my house on the overhang in pics 2 & 3 :3 Also I found a huge cave that starts out as a 1 block wide hole in the ground, but if you keep going, eventually you'll come across a huge room filled with 3 lava flows, 2 lava pools, a ton of obsidian, and 5 water flows. If you manage to make it past all of the lava, there's a vein of 5 diamonds in the back and 2 gold. I need to find the hole again, but when I do i'll put the coordinates. At one point on the right there's a skeleton stronghold also.
This is AWESOME! I will probably make several homes at different places because hundreds of house locations and ideas are streaming through my brain at the moment! XD
- Of course, the featured "hollow mountain" is at x=50 z=281. Let's start with that as a reference. - I don't know if I'd call it "epic", but there's a very extensive open-air cavern with lots of caves off it at x=-558 z=321, not far from Hollow Mountain and well worth exploring for resources. - Abandoned mineshaft at x=-1813 z=-488. Just stand on that square (it's on a steep hillside), and start digging straight down. Have some ladders so you can easily get back out. Don't worry, digging straight down at this spot is perfectly safe, and after a while it will put you directly next to one of the mineshaft's corridors. - EPIC mountains and canyons at x=-2775 z=2795. It's a pretty long journey, but it makes the Hollow Mountain look small. I'm probably going to relocate here permanently, brings to mind the classic old Glacier seed, but even better than THAT if you can believe it. - Villages were very hard to come by, there don't seem to be any near the spawn point, but if you travel a bit, you can find 3 at the following locations: x=-3971 z=2770, x=-3338 z=1777, and x=-2447 z=1281.
Bonus find: in the open-air cavern at x=-558 z=321, there's an another abandoned mineshaft to be found! Just explore the caves and you'll run across it. Be careful - lots of lava and jumping cave spiders in there.
Doesn't seem to work right in Weekly Snapshot 12w04a.
ReplyDeleteThat's because it's meant for 1.1

ReplyDeletewow super cool seed. I like the giant cave support beams. Like the holes that could make cool entrances to possible castles. Thanks for posting.
